At the Port-au-Prince International Jazz Festival, we believe that celebrating music and culture goes hand in hand with respecting and preserving our environment.

That's why we’ve made a strong commitment to making our festival as green and eco-friendly as possible. As we continue to grow and evolve, so does our dedication to promoting sustainability and environmental awareness.

In recent years, we’ve implemented several initiatives to reduce our environmental impact. Last year, we took a significant step forward by introducing sustainable products and encouraging festival-goers to adopt eco-friendly habits. From reusable cups to recycling stations, our goal is to make it easy for everyone to contribute to a cleaner, greener festival experience.

One of our most exciting initiatives (thanks to the European Union) was the introduction of a game centred around picking up plastic bottles. Festival attendees were invited to participate in this fun and rewarding activity, where they could collect discarded plastic bottles throughout the event. Not only did this help keep our festival grounds clean, but it also raised awareness about the importance of recycling. Participants who gathered the most bottles were rewarded with prizes, turning a simple act of environmental responsibility into a memorable and enjoyable experience.

We’re proud of the progress we’ve made so far, but we know there’s always more we can do. That’s why we’re committed to expanding our green efforts in the years to come. Our future plans include increasing the availability of sustainable products, offering more recycling and composting options, and continuing to engage our community in fun and educational activities that promote environmental stewardship.

By making these changes, we hope to inspire not only our festival-goers but also the broader community to adopt more sustainable practices in their everyday lives. Together, we can create a positive impact that extends far beyond the festival itself, contributing to a healthier planet for future generations.
